Abu Abdullah, the freed slave of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated a hadith to us while we were performing tawaf of the House of Allah. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are no days in which doing a deed is more beloved to Allah Almighty than (doing it in) these days." It was asked: "Not even fighting in the path of Allah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Not even fighting in the path of Allah, except for the one who goes out with his life and his wealth and then does not return, until his very lifeblood is shed (that is, he attains martyrdom)." The narrator Abdah says: This refers to the (first) ten days (of Dhu al-Hijjah).
