بَابُ تَلَقِّي الْحَاجِّ وَطَلَبِ الدُّعَاءِ مِنْهُ .

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا لَقِيتَ الْحَاجَّ فَسَلِّمْ عَلَيْهِ وَصَافِحْهُ وَمُرْهُ أَنْ يَسْتَغْفِرَ لَكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَدْخُلَ بَيْتَهُ ، فَإِنَّهُ مَغْفُورٌ لَهُ " .
رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْبَيْلَمَانِيِّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you meet a pilgrim (Hajji), greet him with salam, shake hands with him, and ask him to seek forgiveness for you before he enters his house, for he has been forgiven."

وَعَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ قَالَ : خَرَجْتُ مَعَ أَبِي - رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ - نَتَلَقَّى الْحَاجَّ فَنُسَلِّمُ عَلَيْهِمْ ، قَبْلَ أَنْ يَتَدَنَّسُوا .

Habib bin Abi Thabit narrates: I used to go out with my father; we would meet the pilgrims and greet them with salam before they became soiled (by getting caught up in everyday affairs).
