وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَا أَنْفَقْتُ الْوَرِقَ فِي شَيْءٍ أَحَبَّ إِلَى اللَّهِ مَنْ نَحِيرٍ يُنْحَرُ فِي يَوْمِ عِيدٍ " .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ ، وَفِيهِ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْخُوزِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have not spent silver on anything more beloved to Allah Almighty than a sacrificial animal that is slaughtered on the day of Eid."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Ibrahim bin Yazid al-Khuzi, who is da'if (weak).
