It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Jew named Bustan came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Muhammad, do you know the stars which Yusuf (peace be upon him) saw prostrating to him? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent until Jibril (peace be upon him) came and told him the answer to the question. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met the Jew and said: "O Jew, taking Allah as witness, if I tell you, will you accept Islam?" He said: Yes. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The stars are these: Hadathan, al-Tariq, al-Dhayyal, Qabis, al-Amudan, al-Faylaq, al-Musbih, al-Saruh, Dhu al-Kaffan, Dhu al-Far' and al-Waththab. Yusuf (peace be upon him) saw them encompassing the horizons of the sky, prostrating to him. He related this dream to his father, and his father said: This is a scattered matter which Allah will soon bring together (in its fulfilment)."
