فحدّثنا أبو النَّضْر الفقيه وأبو الحسن العَنَزيُّ، قالا: حَدَّثَنَا مُعاذ بن نَجْدةَ القُرشي، حَدَّثَنَا قَبيصة بن عُقبة، حَدَّثَنَا سفيان، عن سِماك بن حَرْب، عن سعيد بن جُبير، عن ابن عباس: ﴿إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ أَحَدَ عَشَرَ كَوْكَبًا﴾ [يوسف: 4]، قال: كانت رؤيا الأنبياء وَحْيًا (1). هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), concerning the saying of Allah Almighty: "Indeed, I saw eleven stars" [Surah Yusuf: 4], that he said: The dreams of the prophets were revelation.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) إسناده حسن من أجل سماك بن حرب. سفيان: هو الثوري. وقد سلف بنحوه من طريقه برقم (3655).
Grading: (1) This chain is "hasan" because of Simak bin Harb. Technical note / Defect ('illah): Sufyan is "al-Thawri". This narration has already passed in a similar form via him under no. (3655).
