حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن عبيد الله المُنادي حدثنا يونس بن محمد المُؤدِّب، حدثنا سلَّام بن أبي مُطِيع، عن قَتَادةَ، عن الحسن، عن سَمُرة قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "الحَسَبُ المالُ، والكَرَمُ التقوى" (1). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Hasab (standing and prestige) is wealth, and karam (nobility and honour) is taqwa (God-consciousness)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

حدثني علي بن بُنْدار الزاهد، حدثنا أبو جعفر محمد بن أبي عَون النَّسَوي، حدثنا محمد بن عبد ربِّه أبو تُمَيلة، حدثنا أبو بكر بن عيّاش، عن أبي حَصِين، عن ابن أبي مُليكة، عن علي بن أبي طالب قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إذا أبغض المسلمون علماءَهم، وأظهروا عِمارةَ [أسواقهم] (2) وتَناكَحُوا (3) على جَمْع الدراهم، رَمَاهم الله ﷿ بأربعِ خِصالٍ: بالقَحْطِ من الزمان والجَوْرِ من السلطان، والخِيانةِ من وُلاة الأحكام، والصَّوْلة من العدوِّ" (4). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد إن كان عبد الله بن أبي مُلَيكة سمع من أمير المؤمنين ﵇. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the Muslims begin to hate their scholars, make a display of building up and adorning their markets, and marry for the sake of amassing dirhams and dinars, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, will afflict them with four trials: drought of the times, oppression from the ruler, treachery from those in charge of judgements, and the assault and dominance of the enemy."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, provided that Abdullah bin Abi Mulaykah heard from the Commander of the Believers, Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him).

حدثنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا علي بن الحسن الهِلالي، حدثنا عبد المجيد بن عبد العزيز بن أبي روَّاد، حدثنا ابن جُرَيج، عن أبي الزُّبير، عن جابر بن عبد الله قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "أيُّها الناسُ، إِنَّ أحدكم لن يموتَ حتى يستكمِلَ رزقَه، فلا تَستبطِئوا الرزقَ، واتَّقوا الله أيُّها الناس، وأَجمِلوا في الطلب، خُذُوا ما حَلَّ، ودَعُوا مَا حَرُمَ" (1). هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه. It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people! None of you will die until he has received his provision in full, so do not become impatient because your provision seems slow in coming. O people! Fear Allah, and be moderate and decent in seeking provision: take what is lawful and leave what is unlawful."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
