It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people! None of you will die until he has received his provision in full, so do not become impatient because your provision seems slow in coming. O people! Fear Allah, and be moderate and decent in seeking provision: take what is lawful and leave what is unlawful."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
