أخبرنا أبو بكر بن بالَوَيهِ، حَدَّثَنَا موسى بن الحسن، حَدَّثَنَا هَوْذة بن خَليفة، حَدَّثَنَا عوف، عن خِلَاس ومحمد، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "اشتدَّ غضبُ الله على رجل قتلَه رسولُ الله ﷺ واشتدَّ غضبُ الله على رجلٍ تسمَّى مَلِكَ الأملاك، لا مَلِكَ إِلَّا اللهُ ﷿" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allah's anger is severe upon a man whom the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has killed, and Allah's anger is also severe upon a man who named himself malik al-amlak (King of Kings) - whereas there is no (true) king except Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن حَمْدان الجلَّاب بهَمَذان، حَدَّثَنَا أبو حاتم الرازي، حَدَّثَنَا سعيد بن مروان الرُّهَاوي (2)، حَدَّثَنَا عصام بن بَشير، حدثني أبي، قال: وَفَّدَني قومي بنو الحارث بن كعب إلى النَّبِيّ ﷺ، فلما أتيته قال لي: "مَرحَبًا، ما اسمك؟ ": قلت: كثيرٌ، قال: "بل أنت بَشيرٌ" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

Isam bin Bashir narrates from his father that he said: My people, Banu al-Harith bin Ka'b, sent me as a delegate to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When I came to him (peace and blessings be upon him), he said: "Welcome! What is your name?" I said: Kathir. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, rather you are Bashir (bearer of glad tidings)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو عبد الله محمد بن يعقوب الحافظ، حَدَّثَنَا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى [حَدَّثَنَا مُسدَّد] (4) حَدَّثَنَا يحيى - وهو ابن سعيد - عن زكريا بن أبي زائدة، عن عامر، عن عبد الله بن مُطِيع بن الأسود، عن أبيه قال: سمعتُ رسولَ الله ﷺ يومَ الفتح يقول: "لا يُقتلَنَّ قرشيٌّ بعد هذا اليوم صَبْرًا إلى يوم القيامة". قال: ولم يُدرِكْ (1) أحدٌ من عُصَاة قريشٍ الإسلامَ غير أَبي، قال: وكان اسمه العاصِ، فسمَّاه رسولُ الله ﷺ مُطيعًا (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه!

Abdullah bin Muti' bin al-Aswad narrates from his father that he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say on the day of the Conquest of Makkah: "After this day, no Qurayshi shall be killed in captivity (sabran) until the Day of Resurrection." He said: None of the disobedient ones of Quraysh accepted Islam (at that time) except my father. His name was "al-As" (the disobedient), so the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) named him "Muti'" (the obedient).
