حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا بحر بن نصر الخَوْلاني، حدثنا عبد الله بن وهب، أخبرني عمرو بن الحارث، أنَّ بُكير بن عبد الله حدَّثه، أنَّ عاصم ابن عمر بن قَتَادة حدَّثه: أنَّ جابر بن عبد الله عادَ المُقنَّعَ، ثم قال: لا أَبْرَحُ حتى يَحتجِمَ، فإني سمعتُ رسول الله ﷺ يقول: "إِنَّ فيه شِفاءً" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he visited al-Muqanna' (a man by that name) when he was ill, then said: I will not leave here until he has cupping done, for I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Indeed, there is healing in it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن محمود (1) المحبوبي بمَرْو، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا عبيد الله بن موسى حدثنا شَيْبان بن عبد الرحمن، عن عبد الملك ابن عُمير، عن حُصين بن أبي الحُرّ، عن سَمُرة قال: دخل أعرابيٌّ من بني فَزارة من بني أُمِّ قِرْفة على رسول الله ﷺ، فإذا حجَّامٌ يَحجُمُه بمَحاجِمَ (2) له من قُرون، يَشرِطُ بشَفْرةٍ، فقال: ما هذا يا رسولَ الله؟ لِمَ تَدَعُ هذا يقطعُ عليك جِلدَك؟ قال: "هذا الحَجْمُ، وهو خيرُ ما تداويتُم به" (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه. وقد رواه شُعبةُ بن الحجَّاج العَتَكيُّ وزهير بن معاوية الجُعْفيُّ عن عبد الملك ابن عُمير. أما حديثُ شُعبة:

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin of Banu Fazarah (of Banu Umm Qirfah) came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while a cupper was cupping him (peace and blessings be upon him) with cupping vessels (made of horns) and making incisions with a blade. He asked: O Messenger of Allah, what is this? Why do you allow him to cut your skin? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is hijamah (cupping), and it is the best of all the things with which you treat yourselves."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it. Shu'bah bin al-Hajjaj and Zuhayr bin Mu'awiyah also narrated it from Abd al-Malik bin Umayr.

فحدَّثَناه أبو علي الحافظ، أخبرنا زكريا بن يحيى الساجي، حدثنا عبد الوارث ابن عبد الصمد، حدثني أبي، حدثنا شُعبة، عن عبد الملك بن عُمَير، قال: سمعتُ حُصَين بن أبي الحُرِّ يُحدِّث عن سَمُرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "خيرُ ما تداويتُم به الحَجْمُ" (1). وأما حديثُ زهير:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best remedy with which you treat yourselves is hijamah (cupping)."

فحدَّثَناه محمد بن صالح بن هانئ قال أحمد بن محمد بن نصر: حدثنا أبو نُعيم، حدثنا زُهير، عن عبد الملك بن عُمير، حدثني حُصين بن أبي الحُرّ، عن سَمُرة، عن النبيِّ ﷺ نحوَه (2). وقد رواه داود بن نُصَير الطائي عن عبد الملك بن عُمير:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said the same (regarding the virtue of cupping).

أخبرَناه محمد بن يعقوب الأخرَم، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا مُسدَّد، حدثنا إسماعيل ابن عُلَيّة، حدثنا داود بن نُصَير، عن عبد الملك بن عُمير، عن حُصين بن أبي الحُرّ، عن سَمُرة قال: دخلَ أعرابيٌّ من بني فَزَارة من بني أُمَّ قِرْفة على رسول الله ﷺ، فإذا حجَّامُ يَحجُمُه بمَحاجمَ له من قُرون فشَرَطه (3) بشَفْرةٍ، فقال: ما هذا يا رسولَ الله، لِمَ تَدَعُ هذا يقطَعُ عليك جِلدَك؟ قال: "هذا الحَجْمُ" قال: وما الحجمُ؟ قال: "خيرُ ما تَداوَى به النَّاسُ" (4).

أخبرنا نَصْر بن محمد (1) بن الحطَّاب (2) ببغداد، حدثنا محمد بن غالب ابن حرب، حدثنا زكريا بن عَدِي، حدثنا عُبيد الله بن عمرو الرَّقي، عن زيد بن أبي أُنيسة، عن محمد بن قيس، حدثنا أبو الحَكَم البَجَلي -وهو عبد الرحمن بن أبي نُعْم (3) - قال: دخلتُ على أبي هريرة وهو يَحتجِمُ، فقال لي: يا أبا الحَكَم، احتجِمْ، قال: فقلت: ما احتجَمتُ قطُّ، قال: أخبرني أبو القاسم ﷺ: أنَّ جبريل ﵇ أخبره: "أَنَّ الحَجْمَ أفضلُ ما تَداوَى به الناسُ" (4).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Abu al-Hakam al-Bajali (Abd al-Rahman bin Abi Nu'm); he said: I came to Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) while he was having cupping done. He said to me: O Abu al-Hakam, you too should have cupping done. I said: I have never had cupping done. He said: Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him) informed me that Jibril (peace be upon him) told him: "Indeed, hijamah (cupping) is among the best means with which people treat themselves."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو عبد الله الصَّفّار، أخبرنا أبو إسماعيل محمد بن إسماعيل، حدثنا أَسِيد بن زيد الجمَّال، حدثنا زهير بن معاوية، عن عبيد الله، عن نافع عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "إنْ كان في شيء مما تَدَاوَوْنَ بِه شِفاءٌ، فَشَرْطَةُ مِحْجَمٍ، أو شَرْبة عسَل، أو كَيَّةٌ تُصِيبُ، وما أُحبُّه إذا اكتَوى" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If there is healing in anything of your remedies, it is in the incision of the cupper, or a drink of honey, or cauterisation with something hot (that hits the mark); and I do not like it when someone has himself cauterised."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
