خَيْرُ مَا تَدَاوَيْتُمْ بِهِ السَّعُوطُ وَاللَّدُودُ .

أخبرنا محمد بن القاسم العَتَكي، حدثنا محمد بن أحمد بن أنس القُرَشي، حدثنا أبو عاصم، حدثنا عبَّاد بن منصور، عن عِكْرمة، عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسولُ الله ﷺ: "خيرُ ما تداويتُم به: السَّعُوط، واللَّدُود، والحِجَامة، والمَشِيُّ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The best things with which you treat yourselves are these: putting medicine into the nose (al-sa'ut), giving medicine into one side of the mouth (al-ladud), cupping (al-hijamah) and taking a laxative (al-mashi)."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 7663

أخبرنا مُكرَم بن أحمد القاضي، حدثنا الحسن بن مُكرَم، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا عباد بن منصور [عن عِكْرمة] (1) عن ابن عباس قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "ما مَرَرتُ بملأ من الملائكة ليلةَ أُسرِيَ بي، إلَّا قالوا: عليك بالحِجَامَةِ يا مُحمَّدُ" (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

Hadith 7664

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا الربيع بن سليمان، حدثنا شعيب بن الليث [عن أبيه] (3) عن أبي الزُّبير، عن جابر: [أنَّ أُمَّ سلمة] (4) استأذنَتْ رسول الله ﷺ في الحِجامة، فأمر النبيُّ ﷺ أبا طَيْبةَ أن يَحجُمَها، قال: حسبتُ أنه قال: وكان أخوها من الرَّضَاعة، أو غلامًا له لم يَحتلِمْ (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to have cupping done, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Abu Taybah to cup her. The narrator said: I think he also said that he (Abu Taybah) was her foster brother, or a boy who had not yet reached puberty.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
