حدثنا محمد بن صالح بن هانئ، حدثنا يحيى بن محمد بن يحيى، حدثنا أبو عمر حفص بن عمر، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن مُسلم، حدثنا محمد بن عَجْلان، عن سعيد بن أبي سعيد المَقبُري، عن أبي هريرة، قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "خُذُوا جُنَّتَكم" قلنا: يا رسول الله مِن عدوٍّ قد حَضَر؟ قال: "لا، بل جُنَّتَكم من النار؛ قَولُ: سُبحانَ الله، والحمدُ لله، ولا إلهَ إلَّا الله، واللهُ أكبر، فإنهنَّ يأتينَ يومَ القيامةِ مُنجِياتٍ ومُقدَّماتٍ، وهنَّ الباقياتُ الصالحاتُ" (1)

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Take up your shield." We said, "O Messenger of Allah, is it because of an enemy who has appeared?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, rather take up your shield for protection from the Fire of Hell; (and that shield is) saying: 'Subhanallah, wal-hamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar' (Glory be to Allah, praise be to Allah, there is no god but Allah, and Allah is the Greatest), for these words will come on the Day of Resurrection as deliverers and as forerunners, and they are 'the enduring good deeds.'"

حدثني علي بن عيسى الحِيْري، حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي طالب، حدثنا أبو كُريب، حدثنا خَلّاد بن يزيد الجُعفي، حدثنا شَريك، عن الأعمش، عن مُجاهد، عن ابن عُمر، قال: كان رسولُ الله ﷺ يدعُو: "اللهمَّ إني أسألُك عِيشةً نَقِيَّةً، ومِيتةً سَوِيّةً، ومَرَدًّا غيرَ مُخْزِي (1) ولا فاضِحٍ" (2).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: 'Allahumma inni as'aluka 'ishatan naqiyyah, wa mitatan sawiyyah, wa maraddan ghayra mukhzin wa la fadih' (O Allah, I ask You for a pure life, a balanced death, and a return (to the Hereafter) that is neither disgraceful nor shameful).

حدثنا أبو نصر أحمد بن سهل بن حَمْدَوَيهِ الفقيه إملاءً ببُخارَى، حدثنا أبو علي صالح بن محمد بن حَبيب الحافظ البغدادي، حدثنا سعيد بن سُليمان الواسطي، حدثنا عيسى بن ميمون مولى القاسم بن محمد بن أبي بكر الصِّدِّيق، عن القاسم بن محمد، عن عائشة، أنَّ رسولَ الله ﷺ كان يدعُو: "اللهمَّ اجعل أوسعَ رزقِك عليَّ عند كِبَر سِنّي، وانقطاعِ عُمري" (1).
هذا حديث حسنُ الإسناد والمتن، غريبٌ في الدعاء مستحَبٌّ للمشايخ، إلَّا أنَّ عيسى بن ميمون لم يَحتَجَّ به الشيخان ﵄.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to supplicate: 'Allahummaj'al awsa'a rizqika 'alayya 'inda kibari sinni, wanqita'i 'umuri' (O Allah, make Your provision most abundant for me in the last part of my life (old age) and at the close of my life).
The chain and text of this hadith are hasan (good); it is gharib (rare) in the chapter of supplication and is recommended for the elderly, except that the two Shaykhs did not use Isa bin Maymun as evidence.

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا العباس بن محمد الدُّوري، حدثنا الأسود بن عامر شاذانُ، حدثنا حماد بن سَلَمة، عن أبي جعفر الخَطْمي، عن محمد بن كعب القُرَظي، عن أبي هريرة، قال: كان فيكُم أمانانِ، مضتْ إحداهُما وبقيتِ الأخرى: ﴿وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ﴾ [الأنفال: 33] (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: There were two guarantees of safety among you; one of them (the presence of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)) has departed, while the other (seeking forgiveness) remains: "And Allah would not punish them while you are among them, nor would Allah punish them while they are seeking forgiveness." [Surah al-Anfal: 33]

أخبرَناه أبو العباس السَّيّاري، حدثنا أبو المُوجِّه، حدثنا صَدَقة بن الفضل، حدثنا وكيع بن الجرّاح، حدثني حَرْمَلة بن قيس، عن محمد (3) بن أبي أيوب، عن أبي موسى الأشعَري، قال: أمانانِ كانا في الأرض، فرُفِعَ أحدُهما وبقيَ الآخَرُ: ﴿وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ لِيُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَأَنْتَ فِيهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ اللَّهُ مُعَذِّبَهُمْ وَهُمْ يَسْتَغْفِرُونَ﴾ (4).
