أخبرنا عبد الرحمن بن حَمْدان الجَلّاب بهَمَذان، حدثنا إسحاق بن أحمد الخَرّاز، حدثنا إسحاق بن سليمان، حدثنا حنظلة بن أبي سفيان، أنه سمع القاسم بن محمد يقول: كنتُ عند ابن عمر، فجاءه رجلٌ، فقال: أردتُ سَفَرًا، فقال عبد الله: انتظرْ حتى أُودِّعَك كما كان رسولَ الله ﷺ يُودِّعُنا: "أَستَودِعُ الله دِينَكَ وأمانتَكَ وخواتيمَ عَملِكَ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.
Qasim bin Muhammad narrates: I was with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) when a man came to him and said that he intended to travel. Abdullah bin Umar said: "Wait a moment, so that I may bid you farewell just as the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to bid us farewell (by making this supplication): 'Astawdi'u Allaha dinaka wa amanataka wa khawatima 'amalik' (I entrust to Allah your religion, your trustworthiness and the conclusion of your deeds)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), and they did not record it.

حدثنا أبو سعيد أحمد بن يعقوب الثقفي، حدثنا موسى بن هارون، حدثنا إسماعيل بن حفص بن عُمر (1) بن ميمون، حدثنا يحيى بن اليَمان، عن حمزة الزَّيّات، عن حُمْران بن أعْيَن، عن أبي الطُّفيل، عن أبي سعيد الخُدري قال: حَجَّ النبيُّ ﷺ وأصحابه مُشاةً من المدينة إلى مكة، قال: "اربِطُوا على أوساطِكُم بأُزُرِكم"، ومشى خِلْطَ الهَرْولةِ (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions performed Hajj walking on foot from Madinah to Makkah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to the Companions): "Tie your lower garments firmly around your middles (waists)," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked with a gait that was brisk and close to jogging (nasalan).
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

أخبرنا عبد الله بن الحسين القاضي بمَرْو، حدثنا الحارث بن أبي أسامة، حدثنا رَوْح بن عبادة، حدثنا ابن جُرَيج، أخبرني جعفر بن محمد، عن أبيه، عن جابر قال: شَكَا ناسٌ إلى النبيِّ ﷺ المشيَ، فدعا بهم، فقال: "عليكم بالنَّسَلان"، فنَسَلْنا، فوجدناه أخفَّ علينا (3).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that some people complained to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about (the hardship of) walking. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) called them and said: "Keep to nasalan (walking briskly with light, springing steps)." So we began walking that way, and we found it lighter and easier for us (than ordinary walking).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, and they did not record it.
