It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions performed Hajj walking on foot from Madinah to Makkah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said (to the Companions): "Tie your lower garments firmly around your middles (waists)," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) walked with a gait that was brisk and close to jogging (nasalan).
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

Explanation & Benefits
Shaykh Adil Murshid et al.
Clarification: In the manuscripts this name was corrupted (tahrif) to "'Amr".
Grading: This isnad is da'if (weak) because of the weakness of Humran bin A'yan and because of Yahya bin al-Yaman. Criticism of a narrator: Although Yahya bin al-Yaman's hadiths are hasan on the whole, there is weakness (lin) in his memory. Hamzah al-Zayyat is Ibn Habib, and Abu al-Tufayl is 'Amir bin Wathilah. Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (3119) narrated it via Isma'il bin Hafs with this same chain. Important point: The phrase "khilt al-harwalah": al-Sindi says that it means a gait that combines ordinary walking and harwalah (brisk trotting), that is, walking at times and trotting at times.
