أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي، حدثنا الفَضْل بن عبد الجبّار. وأخبرنا القاسم بن القاسم السَّيَّاري، حدثنا إبراهيم بن هلال؛ قالا: حدثنا علي بن الحسن بن شَقِيق، حدثنا الحسين بن واقد، حدثني عبد الله بن بُرَيدة، عن أبيه، قال: كان رسولُ الله ﷺ يخطُب فأقبل الحسنُ والحسينُ عليهما قَميصانِ أحمرانِ يَعثُران ويقومان، فنزل فأخذهما فوضعهما بين يديه، ثم قال: "صَدَقَ الله ورسولُه: ﴿إِنَّمَا أَمْوَالُكُمْ وَأَوْلَادُكُمْ فِتْنَةٌ﴾ [التغابن: 15] رأيتُ ولَديّ هذين فلم أصبِرْ حتى نزلتُ فأخذتُهما"، ثم أخَذَ في خُطبته (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه، وهو أصلٌ في قطع الخُطبة والنُّزولِ من المِنبَر عند الحاجة.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon when Sayyiduna al-Hasan and Sayyiduna al-Husayn (may Allah be pleased with them both) came. They were both wearing red shirts and were stumbling and falling as they walked (because of their young age). So he (peace and blessings be upon him) came down from the pulpit, picked them both up and seated them in front of him. Then he said: "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth: 'Your wealth and your children are only a trial' [Surah al-Taghabun: 15]. I saw these two children of mine and I could not bear it until I came down and picked them up." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) resumed his sermon.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. It is a foundation (evidence) for the permissibility of interrupting the sermon and coming down from the pulpit when there is a need.

Hadith 1072

أخبرنا أبو إسحاق إبراهيم بن محمد بن حاتم الزَّاهد، حدثنا الفضل بن محمد الشَّعْراني، حدثنا سعيد بن أبي مريم، حدثنا محمد بن جعفر بن أبي كثير، حدثنا شَريك بن عبد الله بن أبي نَمِر، عن عطاء بن يسار، عن أبي ذَرٍّ قال: دخلتُ المسجدَ والنبيُّ ﷺ، يخطُب، فجلستُ قريبًا من أُبيِّ بن كعب، فقرأ النبيُّ ﷺ سورة براءة، فقلتُ لأُبيٍّ: متى نزلت هذه السورة؟ الحديث (2).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I entered the mosque while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, and I sat down near Sayyiduna Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him). Meanwhile, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited Surah Bara'ah (al-Tawbah). I asked Ubayy bin Ka'b: When was this surah revealed? (The narrator then mentioned the whole) hadith.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it.

Hadith 1073

أخبرنا أحمد بن إسحاق بن إبراهيم العَدْل الصَّيدلاني، حدثنا إسماعيل بن قُتيبة، حدثنا يحيى بن يحيى، حدثنا عبد الرحمن بن مَهْدي، حدثنا معاوية بن صالح، عن أبي الزَّاهريَّة قال: كنتُ جالسًا مع عبد الله بن بُسْرٍ يوم الجمعة، فما زال يحدِّثنا حتى خَرَجَ الإمام، فجاء رجلٌ يَتخطَّى رِقابَ الناس ورسولُ الله ﷺ يخطُب، فقال له: "اجلس، فقد آذَيتَ وآنَيتَ" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

Abu al-Zahiriyyah said: I was sitting with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Busr (may Allah be pleased with him) on Friday, and he kept narrating hadith to us until the imam came out for the sermon. Meanwhile, a man came stepping over the necks of the people while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was delivering the sermon, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Sit down, for you have certainly caused people harm and you have come late."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
