It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was sitting at the door of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) came out while we were all sitting, and he said: "Listen to me." We said: O Messenger of Allah! We are listening. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, after me there will be rulers; so do not affirm their lies and do not help them in their oppression, for whoever affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression will not be able to come to me at the Pool."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it. Its shahid (supporting narration) is the well-known hadith that Imam al-Sha'bi narrated from Ka'b bin Ujrah, although there is a difference (among the narrators) about it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that one day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us while we were in the mosque; five of us were Arabs and four were non-Arabs. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Are you listening?" We said: Yes, we are listening. He (peace and blessings be upon him) asked twice, then said: "Listen! After me there will soon be rulers. Whoever goes to them, affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression, then he has nothing to do with me and I have nothing to do with him, and he will never come to me at the Pool. And whoever does not go to them, does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their oppression, he is from me and I am from him, and he will soon come to me at the Pool."

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him): "O Ka'b bin Ujrah! May Allah protect you from the rule of the foolish." He asked: What is the rule of the foolish? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rulers who will come after me who will neither follow my guidance nor adhere to my Sunnah. Whoever affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression, those people are not from me and I am not from them, and they will not come to my Pool. And whoever does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their oppression, they are from me and I am from them, and they will soon come to me at my Pool. O Ka'b bin Ujrah! Flesh that has grown from unlawful wealth will not enter Paradise; the Fire is more fitting for it. O Ka'b bin Ujrah! Fasting is a shield, charity wipes out sins (as water extinguishes fire), and prayer is a means of nearness to Allah (or he said: a proof)."
