It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I entered Paradise and there I saw a river on both banks of which were tents of pearl. I struck my hand into the bed where the water flowed, and it was pure musk of strong fragrance. I asked Jibril: What is this? He said: This is al-Kawthar which your Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, has given you."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it with these words.
