مَنْ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمَرَاءَ فَصَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ لَيْسَ بِوَارِدٍ عَلَى الْحَوْضِ
Whoever enters upon rulers, affirms their lies and helps them in their injustice will not come to the Pool

فأخبرَناه أبو محمد الحسن بن محمد الإسفَرَاييني، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن حنبل، حدثنا هارون بن إسحاق الهَمْداني، حدثني محمد بن عبد الوهاب القَنّاد، حدثنا سفيان ومِسعَر، عن أبي حَصِين، عن الشَّعْبي، عن عاصم العَدَوي، عن كعب بن عُجْرة قال: خرجَ علينا رسول الله ﷺ ونحن تسعةٌ وبيننا وسائدُ من أَدَمٍ أحمرَ، فقال: "إنَّه سيكون بعدي أمراءُ فمن صدَّقهم بكَذِبِهم وأعانهم على ظُلمِهم، فليس منِّي ولست منه، ولن يَرِدَ عليَّ الحوضَ، ومن لم يُصدِّقْهم بكذبهم ولم يُعِنْهم على ظلمِهم، فهو منِّي وأنا منه، وسيَرِدُ عليَّ الحوضَ" (1). وقد شَهِدَ جابر بن عبد الله قولَ رسول الله ﷺ هذا لكعب بن عُجْرة:
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came out to us; we were nine people, and there were cushions of red leather between us. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, after me there will soon be rulers. Whoever affirms their lies and helps them in their oppression, he is not from me and I am not from him, and he will never reach me at the Pool. And whoever does not affirm their lies and does not help them in their oppression, he is from me and I am from him, and he will soon reach me at the Pool."

Grading: Its chain is sahih.
وأخرجه الترمذي (2259)، والنسائي (7783 - 7784)، وابن حبان (279) من طريق هارون بن إسحاق، بهذا الإسناد - ولم يذكر ابن حبان في حديثه سفيانَ.
Reference / Source: Al-Tirmidhi (2259), al-Nasa'i (7783-7784), and Ibn Hibban (279) narrated it via Harun bin Ishaq, with this chain; however, Ibn Hibban did not mention Sufyan (al-Thawri) in his narration.
وأخرجه أحمد 30/ (18126)، والنسائي (7782) و (8705)، وابن حبان (282) و (283) و (285) من طرق عن سفيان الثوري، به.
Reference / Source: Ahmad (30/18126), al-Nasa'i (7782 and 8705), and Ibn Hibban (282, 283, 285) narrated it via several routes from Sufyan al-Thawri.
وأخرجه الترمذي (614) من طريق طارق بن شهاب، عن كعب بن عجرة. وانظر تتمة تخريجه في "مسند أحمد".
