While saying this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began to tremble on the pulpit to the extent that we feared that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) might fall down from it.

When he had finished the prayer with salam, he stood up and said: “Remember this night, for after a full hundred years from tonight, none of those who are present on the face of the earth today will remain.” Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that many people became confused by this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and began to say various things regarding the “hundred years.” In reality, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had said: “Those who are present on the face of the earth today,” and what he meant was that this generation would come to an end (he did not mean that the Day of Judgment would occur a hundred years from today).

It is narrated as a mawquf report from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that when a Muslim reaches the age of forty, Allah protects him from various kinds of diseases such as insanity, leukoderma, and leprosy. When he reaches the age of fifty, Allah makes his reckoning easier. When he reaches the age of sixty, Allah grants him the ability to turn towards Him, and on this basis, begins to love him. When he reaches the age of seventy, Allah and the inhabitants of the heavens begin to love him. When he reaches the age of eighty, Allah forgives all his past and future sins, and he is given the title of «اسير الله فى الارض», and his intercession regarding his family will be accepted.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you receive one of these two in exchange for the other, do not separate from your companion until there remains no transaction between you and him."

I have not seen any outstanding person fill a bucket like him, until he gave water to all the people to their satisfaction."

He was worthy of leadership and was the most beloved to me among the people, and now this son of his is, after him, the most beloved to me. Therefore, accept my advice to treat him well, for he is your best companion."

While traveling, he would perform two rak‘ahs of Zuhr and then two rak‘ahs afterwards, two rak‘ahs of Asr and nothing after it, three rak‘ahs of Maghrib and then two rak‘ahs afterwards, and two rak‘ahs of Isha and then two rak‘ahs afterwards.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted them to let the hem down by one handspan. They said that one handspan does not suffice for covering. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then make it one cubit." Thus, when any of them wanted to make a shirt, she would let it hang down by one cubit and make its hem accordingly.

Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him: "You are mistaken; this distinction belonged only to the Bilal of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)."

On one occasion, Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) wrote him a letter saying: "It has come to my knowledge that you have begun to speak about Qadar (Divine Decree). Do not write to me anymore, for I have heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'There will be some people in my Ummah who will deny Qadar.'"
