It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed men who imitate women and women who imitate men.

He replied: "When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sat in prayer, he would place his right palm on his right thigh, close all the fingers, and point with the finger next to the thumb, and he would place his left palm on his left thigh."

He replied that when Allah Almighty sent the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we knew nothing; we will do as we saw him doing.

He asked, "What are those things?" I said, "I see that you only touch the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, and do not touch any other corner. I see you wearing shoes made of tanned leather. I see you dyeing your beard. And I see that when you are in Makkah, people begin reciting the Talbiyah as soon as they see the new moon, but you do not recite the Talbiyah until the eighth of Dhul-Hijjah arrives." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) replied, "As for touching only the Yemeni Corner and the Black Stone, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) touching only these two corners, and he did not touch any other corner. As for wearing shoes made of tanned leather, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) himself wore such shoes, performed ablution while wearing them, and liked them. As for dyeing the beard, I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) dyeing his beard. And as for assuming Ihram, I did not see the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) assuming Ihram until his mount set out with him."

I have not seen any deficient in religion and intellect more overwhelming to a wise man than you. A woman asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is meant by deficiency in religion and intellect? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'The fact that the testimony of two women is equal to that of one man is a sign of deficiency in intellect, and the inability to pray and fast for several days (during menstruation) is a sign of deficiency in religion.'"

One day, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put his head out from it and said: "Whoever stands to pray is in fact conversing privately with his Lord, so you should know what you are saying in your supplication to your Lord. And do not recite aloud over one another in prayer."

Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) submitted: "Sometimes one corner of my garment hangs down, although I try very hard (to keep it up)?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You are not among those who do this out of arrogance."

Among those who will go out to him repeatedly, the majority will be women, and the situation will reach such an extent that a man will come to his home to his mother, daughter, sister, and paternal aunt, and, fearing that they might go to the Dajjal, he will tie them up with ropes. Then Allah Almighty will grant the Muslims dominance over the Dajjal, and they will kill him and his followers, to the extent that if a Jew hides under a tree or a stone, that tree or stone will call out to the Muslims, saying: "There is a Jew hiding under me, come and kill him."

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: «اللَّهُمَّاغْفِرْلِيوَارْحَمْنِيوَتُبْعَلَيَّإِنَّكَأَنْتَالتَّوَّابُالرَّحِيمُأَوْإِنَّكَتَوَّابٌغَفُورٌ» "O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, turn towards me. Indeed, You are the Most Accepting of Repentance, Most Merciful, or Most Forgiving."

And he used to say: "By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), whenever two people love each other and then separation occurs between them, it is certainly due to the sin of one of them." And he used to say that a Muslim has six rights over his brother: to respond when he sneezes, to visit him when he is ill, to wish well for him in his absence, to greet him when they meet, to accept his invitation, and to attend his funeral when he dies. And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a Muslim from severing ties with his brother for more than three days.

My father said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the example of a hypocrite will be like that of a goat between two herds; if it goes to one herd, the goats there will drive it away with their horns, and if it goes to the other herd, the goats there will also drive it away with their horns." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "You have made a mistake." The people there began to praise my father, so Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "I also consider your companion as you say, but I too was present in that gathering when the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, used the word «غنمين» on that occasion." Ubaid said: "Both are the same." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, said: "I heard the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, say it in this way."

Saying this, he recited before me the words of tashahhud which are narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him).

At that moment, Jibreel (peace be upon him) came and said, "He did do that act, but due to the blessing of saying «لا اله الا الله», he has been forgiven."

Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a silver ring made, with which he would seal (letters), but he did not wear it.
