It seems something has happened? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes, so-and-so passed by me and desire for women arose in my heart, so I went to one of my wives. You too should do likewise, for going to what is lawful is among the best of your deeds."

Sayyiduna Abu Kabshah al-Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) described to me the likeness of this Ummah as four men: "A man to whom Allah gave both knowledge and wealth, so he acts according to his knowledge in his wealth. And a man to whom Allah gave knowledge but did not give wealth, so he says: If Allah had given me the same as He gave this one, I would act with it as he acts. These two are equal in reward. And a man to whom Allah gave wealth but did not give knowledge, so he squanders it in ways that are not right; he neither fears his Lord in it nor maintains the ties of kinship with it. And a man to whom Allah gave neither knowledge nor wealth, so he says: If Allah had given me the same as He gave this one, I would act with it as he acts. These two are equal in sin."

These two are equal in reward. And a man to whom Allah gave wealth and he spent it on amusement, desires and pleasures, and a man saw him and said: Would that I had wealth like so-and-so's, so that I could do as he did. Sayyiduna Abu Kabshah al-Anmari (may Allah be pleased with him) said that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "I am going to narrate a hadith to you, so remember it: The people of this world are of four kinds: A servant whom Allah has given both wealth and knowledge in this world, so he fears his Lord in it, maintains the ties of kinship, and acts in it according to Allah's right; this person is at the very best rank. And a servant whom Allah has given knowledge but not wealth, so he is sincere in his intention and says: 'If I had wealth, I would do as so-and-so does,' so the reward of the two of them is equal. And a servant whom Allah has given wealth but not knowledge, so he keeps floundering in his wealth without knowledge; he neither fears his Lord in it, nor maintains the ties of kinship, nor fulfils Allah's right; this person is at the very worst rank. And a servant whom Allah has given neither wealth nor knowledge, and he says: 'If I had wealth, I would do as so-and-so does,' so that is his intention, and the sin of the two of them is equal."
