Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Detachment from the world gives rest to the heart and the body."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ash'ath bin Nizar, whom I do not know, and the remaining narrators of this report have been declared trustworthy despite weakness in some of them.

Sayyiduna Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The righteous have not adorned themselves in the world with anything like detachment from the world."
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Sulayman al-Shadhakuni, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Among the Children of Israel there was a merchant whose trade would sometimes decrease and at other times increase. He thought: 'There is no good in this trade; I must seek a trade that is better than this.' So he built a hermitage and took up a life of monasticism in it. His name was Jurayj."
Ahmad recorded it, and its chain is jayyid (good).

Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Beware! Detachment from the world does not mean declaring the lawful to be unlawful, or wasting wealth. Rather, detachment from the world means that what you have should not be more reliable in your view than what is with Allah Almighty, and that when you are struck by an affliction, you should be eager for the affliction for the sake of gaining its reward, wishing that the affliction had remained with you."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Waqid, whom the majority declared da'if (weak), while Muhammad bin al-Mubarak said: He is saduq (truthful). The remaining narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy).

Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy, although some of them have weakness.
