Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty loves a servant, He protects him from the world just as one of you protects his sick person from water."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When Allah Almighty loves a servant, He protects him from the world just as one of you protects his sick person from water so that he may be cured."
Abu Ya'la recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).

Sa'idah bin Sa'd bin Hudhayfah narrates that Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: "There is no day more comforting to my eyes and more beloved to my heart than the day I come home and find no food with my family, and they say: 'We have nothing, little or much.'" Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Allah Almighty protects the believer from the world more strictly than the family of a sick person protect him from food, and Allah Almighty attends to the believer with trial more closely than a father attends to his child with good."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.

Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, whoever believes in me and affirms me, and knows that what I have brought is the truth from You, make his wealth and children few and hasten his death. O Allah, and whoever does not believe in me and does not affirm me, and does not know that what I have brought is the truth from You, make his wealth and children many and lengthen his life." Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin Waqid, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, whoever believes in You and testifies that I am Your Messenger, make meeting You beloved to him, make Your decree (of destiny) easy for him, and give him little of the world. And whoever does not believe in You and does not testify that I am Your Messenger, do not make meeting You beloved to him, do not make Your decree (of destiny) easy for him, and give him plenty of the world."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
