بَابُ إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَبْدًا حَمَاهُ الدُّنْيَا .
When Allah the Exalted loves a servant He protects him from this world
Majma al-Zawaid 18053 — When Allah the Exalted loves a servant
عَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ - عَزَّ وَجَلَّ - عَبْدًا حَمَاهُ الدُّنْيَا كَمَا يَظَلُّ أَحَدُكُمْ يَحْمَى سَقِيمَهُ الْمَاءَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Rafi' bin Khadij (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When Allah Almighty loves a servant, He protects him from the world just as one of you protects his sick person from water."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its chain is hasan (good).
