عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : أَتَى عَلَيْنَا زَمَانٌ وَمَا يَرَى أَحَدٌ مِنَّا أَنَّهُ أَحَقُّ بِالدِّينَارِ وَالدِّرْهَمِ مِنْ أَخِيهِ الْمُسْلِمِ ، أَتَى عَلَيْنَا زَمَانٌ الدِّينَارُ وَالدِّرْهَمُ أَحَبُّ إِلَيْنَا مِنْ أَخِينَا الْمُسْلِمِ . قُلْتُ : فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ بِأَسَانِيدَ ، وَبَعْضُهَا حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: A time came upon us when not one of us considered himself more entitled to a dinar or a dirham than his Muslim brother, and now a time has come upon us in which the dinar and the dirham are dearer to us than our Muslim brother. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: After this he mentioned the complete hadith.
