بَابُ إِذَا أَحَبَّ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَبْدًا حَمَاهُ الدُّنْيَا .
When Allah the Exalted loves a servant He protects him from this world
Majma al-Zawaid 18057 — When Allah the Exalted loves a servant
وَعَنْ فَضَالَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " اللَّهُمَّ مَنْ آمَنَ بِكَ ، وَشَهِدَ أَنِّي رَسُولُكَ فَحَبِّبْ إِلَيْهِ لِقَاءَكَ ، وَسَهِّلْ عَلَيْهِ قَضَاءَكَ ، وَأَقْلِلْ لَهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا ، وَمَنْ لَمْ يُؤْمِنْ بِكَ ، وَيَشْهَدْ أَنِّي رَسُولُكَ فَلَا تُحَبِّبْ إِلَيْهِ لِقَاءَكَ ، وَلَا تُسَهِّلْ عَلَيْهِ قَضَاءَكَ ، وَكَثِّرْ لَهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Fadalah bin Ubayd (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, whoever believes in You and testifies that I am Your Messenger, make meeting You beloved to him, make Your decree (of destiny) easy for him, and give him little of the world. And whoever does not believe in You and does not testify that I am Your Messenger, do not make meeting You beloved to him, do not make Your decree (of destiny) easy for him, and give him plenty of the world."
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
