عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الزُّهْدُ فِي الدُّنْيَا يُرِيحُ الْقَلْبَ وَالْجَسَدَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ أَشْعَثُ بْنُ نِزَارٍ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ وُثِّقُوا عَلَى ضَعْفٍ فِي بَعْضِهِمْ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Detachment from the world gives rest to the heart and the body."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ash'ath bin Nizar, whom I do not know, and the remaining narrators of this report have been declared trustworthy despite weakness in some of them.
