Imam al-Tabarani states: Ubaydullah bin Muhammad narrated to us: The kunyah of Sayyiduna Imran (may Allah be pleased with him) was "Abu Nujayd". He accepted Islam early, and his father also accepted Islam. He took part in several military expeditions alongside the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He continued to live in the land of his people and would frequently come to Madinah and stay there, until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away; then he moved to Basrah and stayed there until his death, and he died there. He also had children. Among his descendants, Khalid bin Tulayq bin Muhammad bin Imran bin Husayn became the judge of Basrah. According to one view, his father Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) died as a Muslim, and it has also been reported that he died as a polytheist; however, the more authentic report is that he accepted Islam.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it.
