One of the Companions narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Companions: "Among you are people to whom I give nothing; I entrust them to their faith. Among them is Furat bin Hayyan."
Imam Ahmad recorded it. Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Harithah bin Mudarrib, who is thiqah (trustworthy).

Sayyiduna Ali bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I give some people (wealth and the like), thereby winning their hearts, and I entrust other people to what (faith) they have (the narrator is unsure; perhaps the words are:) I entrust them to what (faith) Allah Almighty has placed in their hearts. Among them is Furat bin Hayyan."
Imam al-Bazzar recorded it. Its chain contains Dirar bin Surad, who is da'if (weak).
