Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Render the trust to the one who entrusted it to you, and do not betray the one who betrays you."
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and the narrators of al-Mu'jam al-Kabir are thiqat (trustworthy).

At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, Yahya bin Uthman bin Salih al-Misri, about whom Ibn Abi Hatim said: The hadith scholars have criticised him.

Sayyiduna Abu Qurad al-Sulami (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He called for water for ablution, dipped his hand in it, and then performed ablution. We took that water and drank it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Why did you do this?" We said: "Out of love for Allah and His Messenger." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you want Allah and His Messenger to love you as well, then when you are entrusted with something, be trustworthy; when you speak, speak the truth; and be a good neighbour to whoever comes to live near you."
At-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains a narrator, Ubayd bin Waqid al-Qaysi, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Four things, if they are present among you, then there is no harm to you in whatever of this world you do not obtain: guarding the trust, good character, speaking the truth, and caution in food (that is, eating what is lawful)."
Ahmad, and at-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, whose narrations are hasan (good), and the rest of the narrators of this narration are the narrators of the Sahih.

Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Isa bin Sadaqah, whom Abu Zur'ah declared thiqah (trustworthy), while ad-Daraqutni (may Allah have mercy on him) says: He is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyiduna Ubadah bin al-Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Guarantee me six things concerning yourselves, and I guarantee you Paradise: when you speak, tell the truth; when you make a promise, fulfil it; when you are entrusted with something, render it; guard your private parts; lower your gaze; and restrain your hands."
Ahmad, and at-Tabarani in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy), except that the narrator named al-Muttalib did not hear from Sayyiduna Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him).
