Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Hubshi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever cuts down a lote tree, Allah Almighty will thrust his head into the Fire." The narrator says: That is, whoever cuts down a lote tree of the Haram. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Abu Dawud recorded this narration, but it does not contain these words: "that is, a lote tree of the Haram."
