Majma al-Zawaid 5705 — Satan will not be worshipped in Makkah

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed Satan has despaired of being worshipped in this land of yours, but he will be content with you for those things which you consider insignificant."
Ahmad recorded it.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Hadiths on the virtue of the Arabian Peninsula and other matters will come later in the chapter on virtues (manaqib), if Allah wills.
