Sa'id bin Amr narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) came to Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) while he was sitting in the Hatim. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Ibn al-Zubayr, beware of causing corruption in the sanctuary of Allah Almighty, for I bear witness that I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'Its sanctity will be violated, and a man from Quraysh will violate its sanctity. If that man's sins were weighed against all the sins of mankind and the jinn, his sin would be heavier.'" Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "O Ibn Amr, see to it that the man is not you, for you have read the scriptures and you kept the company of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)." Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I make you my witness that I am now setting out for Syria to wage jihad."
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
