Ibn Abza reports about Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him): When he was besieged, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) said to him: "I have fine she-camels which I have prepared for you. Would you like to move to Makkah, so that whoever wishes to come to you can come to you?" Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "No! I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'A ram from Quraysh will commit bloodshed and violence in Makkah; his name will be Abdullah, and upon him will be half of the sins of all the people.'"
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
Al-Bazzar also recorded it. (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Other hadiths of this kind will come later in the chapter on tribulations (fitan), if Allah wills.
