Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There is no ihram for a woman except in her face."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Ayyub bin Muhammad al-Yamami, who is da'if (weak).

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman in ihram shall not wear a face veil (niqab), shall not wear gloves, and shall not wear a burqa. If she wishes to enter ihram while she is menstruating, she shall enter ihram and stand at all the stations, except that she shall not perform tawaf of the House (the Ka'bah) and shall not perform the sa'y between Safa and Marwah."
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say: Part of it is recorded in the Sahih.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains a narrator, Umar bin Suhban, who is matruk (abandoned).

Sayyidah Umaymah bint Ruqayqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: The wives of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would tie on headbands that had wars and saffron on them; with them they would bind the lower part of their hair away from their foreheads before entering ihram, and then they would enter ihram in that same state.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir. Its chain contains a female narrator, Hukaymah bint Umaymah, from whom Ibn Jurayj narrated. No one has criticised this woman, and Abu Dawud used her narration as evidence. The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.

It is reported about Sayyidah Habbah bint Amr (may Allah be pleased with her), who had the honour of praying towards both qiblahs with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), that when she intended to enter ihram, she would place her bag in her lap, and she would wear whatever clothing she wished, including safflower-dyed (mu'asfar) clothing, and then she would enter ihram.
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.

Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her), the honoured wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates: We were with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while we were in the state of ihram. When a rider passed by us, we would let our cloth hang down from above the head over the face. Sometimes she narrated the words: "We would let it down over the face from above the head-covering (khimar)."
