Imam Abu Bakr Muhammad bin Ishaq bin Khuzaymah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: I asked Yunus bin Abd al-A'la al-Sadafi about the cause of the death of Abdullah bin Wahb, and he said: "Kitab al-Ahwal" (the account of the terrors of the Day of Resurrection) was being read to him, and when a certain report was read, he fell down in a faint (out of fear of Allah). We carried him and took him into his house, and he remained ill continuously until he passed away.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I will be the master of all people on the Day of Resurrection. My Lord will call me and I will say: 'Labbayka wa sa'dayka, tabarakta labbayka wa hananayka, wal-mahdiyyu man hadayta, wa 'abduka bayna yadayka, la malja'a wa la manja minka illa ilayka, tabarakta rabbal-bayt' (Here I am, ever ready to obey You; You are blessed. Here I am, seeking Your mercy. Rightly guided is only the one whom You guide. Your servant is present before You. There is no refuge and no path of salvation from You except towards You. O Lord of the House, You are most blessed)." He (peace and blessings be upon him) further said: "Indeed, slandering a chaste woman destroys a hundred years of (good) deeds."
All the narrators of this hadith are acceptable as proof except Layth bin Abi Sulaym, and Imam Muslim has recorded him as a supporting narrator (shahid).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with her) that she said to Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him): Do you not seek for your guests the comforts that other men seek for their guests? He replied: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Ahead of you is a very hard and difficult mountain pass, which those weighed down by burdens will not be able to cross." So I love to keep my burden light for crossing that pass.

It is narrated from six or seven Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), including Sayyiduna Salman al-Farisi, Sayyiduna Sa'd and Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection a man's record of deeds will be presented, until he thinks that he has been saved. But then the rights of people and the wrongs done to them will pursue him until not a single good deed of his remains, and their sins will be added to his account."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he learned of a hadith about retribution (qisas) from one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), which he himself had not heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). So he bought a camel, fastened his saddle on it, travelled a month's journey and reached Egypt (or Syria), and met Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unays (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: I have learned of a hadith from you which you heard from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), but I did not hear it concerning retribution. I feared that death might come to me before I heard it. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Unays (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "On the Day when the servants - or he said: the people - will be gathered naked, uncircumcised and buhman (empty-handed), having nothing with them, then Allah Almighty will call out to them in a voice that the one far away will hear just as the one near hears: I am the King, I am the Judge who recompenses. It is not fitting for any of the people of Paradise to enter Paradise while any of the people of Hell has a claim (of wrong) against him, until I make him give retribution for it; and it is not fitting for any of the people of Hell to enter Hell while any of the people of Paradise has a claim against him, until I make him give retribution for it, even for a slap." We said: How can that be, when we will come before Allah naked and empty-handed? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "(This retribution) will be through good deeds and bad deeds."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
