حدثنا أبو بكر محمد بن داود، الزاهد، حدثنا علي بن الحسين بن الجُنيد، حدثنا سهل بن عثمان، حدثنا عبد الله بن إدريس، عن أبيه، عن جدِّه، عن أبي هريرة قال: سُئل النبيُّ ﷺ عن أكثرِ ما يُدخِل الناسَ الجنَّةَ، قال: "التقوى وحُسْنُ الخُلُق، وسُئل عن أكثرِ ما يُدخِلُ الناسَ النَّارَ، فقال: "الأجْوَفانِ": الفمُ والفَرْجُ" (1)
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the deeds that will most often admit people into Paradise. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Consciousness of Allah (taqwa) and good character." And he (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the things that will most often take people into Hell. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The two hollow things: the mouth and the private parts."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

حدثنا أحمد بن سهل الفقيه ببُخارى، حدثنا قيس بن أُنيف، حدثنا قُتيبة، حدثنا أبو عَوَانة، عن سِمَاك، عن النُّعمان بن بَشير؛ قال سِماكٌ: سمعتُ النُّعمانَ وهو على المنبر يقول: قد كان رسولُ الله ﷺ لا يَجِدُ ما يَملأُ بطنَه من الدَّقَل وهو جائع (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Nu'man bin Bashir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was saying on the pulpit (while delivering a sermon): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), while hungry, would (at times) not find even inferior-quality dates to fill his stomach.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.
