أخبرني أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا محمد بن عبد الله الحَضْرمي، حدثنا يحيى بن بشر الحَرِيري، حدثنا معاوية بن سلّام، عن يحيى بن أبي كثير، أخبرني أبو قِلابةَ، أن عبد الرحمن بن شَيْبة أخبره، أنَّ أُمّ المؤمنين عائشة أخبرته، أنَّ النبيَّ ﷺ قال: "إنَّ الصالحين يُشدَّدُ عليهم (1).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from the Mother of the Believers, Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Indeed, trials are made severe upon the righteous."
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 8100

حدثنا عبد الباقي بن قانع الحافظ ببغداد، حدثنا عبد الله بن أحمد بن الحسين المروَزي، حدثنا إسحاق بن بِشر، حدثنا مُقاتِل بن سليمان، عن حمّاد، عن إبراهيم عن عبد الرحمن بن يزيد عن ابن مسعود، عن النبيِّ ﷺ قال: "مَن أصبحَ وهمُّه غيرُ الله فليسَ من الله في شيء، ومن لم يَهتمَّ للمسلمين فليس منهم (2) " (3).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever begins his morning with his (real) aim and concern being something other than Allah has no connection with Allah; and whoever does not care about the affairs of the Muslims (and their pains and sorrows) is not one of them."

Hadith 8101

حدثنا أبو بكر بن إسحاق، أخبرنا الحسن بن علي بن زياد، حدثنا عبد العزيز بن عبد الله الأَوَيسي، حدثنا سليمان بن بلال، عن عباس بن عبد الله بن مَعْبَد بن عباس، عن أخيه إبراهيم (1)، عن ابن عباس، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "هكذا الإخلاصُ" يُشير بإصبعه التي تَلِي الإبهامَ "وهذا الدعاءُ" فرفعَ يديه حَذْوَ مَنكِبَيه "وهذا الابتهالُ" فرفع يديه مدًّا (2).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه (1).

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Sincerity (ikhlas) is like this," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with the finger next to the thumb (that is, the index finger); "and supplication (du'a) is like this," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both his hands level with his shoulders; "and ibtihal (imploring with utmost humility) is like this," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) raised both his hands, stretching them upward.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
