It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and his Companions passed by a woman. She slaughtered a sheep for them and prepared food. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned, she said: "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), we have prepared food for you, so come in and eat." So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the Companions entered, and the Companions would not begin (eating) until the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) began. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a morsel but was unable to swallow it, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "This is a sheep that was slaughtered without the permission of its owners." The woman said: "O Prophet of Allah, we do not feel shy with the family of Mu'adh, nor do they feel shy with us, about our taking their things or their taking ours."
