The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed a horned, robust ram

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sacrificed a ram that was horned and strong; it walked in black, ate in black and looked in black (that is, its feet, its belly and the area around its eyes were black).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) slaughtered a horned ram at the Eid prayer ground, then said: "O Allah, this is on my behalf and on behalf of those of my Ummah who have not offered a sacrifice."
This hadith has an authentic chain (sahih al-isnad), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sarihah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: After I had come to know the Sunnah, my family pushed me into harshness. We used to sacrifice one or two goats on behalf of the household, but my family said: Our neighbours think that we are being stingy (because we do not increase the number of animals).
This hadith has an authentic chain (sahih al-isnad), but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.
