حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا محمد بن إسحاق الصَّغَاني، حدثنا أبو النَّضر وأبو زيد سعيد بن الربيع، قالا: حدثنا شُعبة، عن قَتَادة، عن الحسن، عن عمران بن حُصين قال: نَهَى رسولُ الله ﷺ عن الكيِّ، فاكتوَينا، فما أفلَحْنا ولا أنجَحْنا (3).
هذا حديث صحيح الإسناد، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade cauterisation. Then we had ourselves cauterised (because of illness), and we gained no benefit or success from it.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

Hadith 7682

أخبرنا أبو عمرو عثمان بن أحمد الدَّقَّاق، حدثنا الحسن بن سلَّام السَّوَّاق، حدثنا أبو عاصم، عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق، عن أبي الأحوَص، عن عبد الله، قال: أصاب رجلًا من الأنصار مرضٌ شديدٌ، فوُصِفَ له الكَيُّ، فأتوا النبيَّ ﷺ فأعرضَ عنهم، ثم أتَوْه فأعرضَ عنهم، ثم قال في الثالثة أو في الرابعة: "إن شئتُم فارضِفُوه رَضْفًا" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the Ansar became severely ill, and cauterisation was prescribed for him. They came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away from them. They came again, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) turned away again. Then on the third or fourth time he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, then apply heated stones to him."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

Hadith 7683

حدثنا أبو زكريا العَنْبري، حدثنا إبراهيم بن أبي طالب، حدثني عبد القُدُّوس ابن محمد الحَبْحابي، حدثني عمرو بن عاصم، حدثنا همّام، حدثنا قَتَادة، عن مُطرِّف ابن عبد الله، عن عمران بن حُصين أنه قال: لم تُسلَّم عليَّ الملائكةُ حتى ذهب منّي أثرُ النار (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط الشيخين ولم يُخرجاه!

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: The angels did not greet me with salam until the effect of the fire (cauterisation) had left me.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.
