لَعَنَ النَّبِيُّ الْمَرْأَةَ تَلْبَسُ لُبْسَةَ الرَّجُلِ ، وَالرَّجُلَ يَلْبَسُ لُبْسَةَ الْمَرْأَةِ
The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who wears men's clothing and the man who wears women's clothing

حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عيسى بن زيد (1) اللَّخْمي بتِنّيس، حدثنا عمرو بن أبي سَلَمة، عن زُهير بن محمد، أخبرني سُهيل بن أبي صالح، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ لعنَ المرأةَ تَلْبَسُ لِبْسةَ الرَّجل، والرجلَ يَلْبَسُ لِبْسةَ المرأة (2)
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who wears the clothing of men, and (cursed) the man who wears the clothing of women.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

أخبرنا محمد بن علي الشَّيباني بالكوفة، حدثنا أحمد بن حازم الغِفاري، حدثنا أبو نُعيم، حدثنا إبراهيم بن نافع عن الحسن بن مسلم، عن صَفيَّة بنتِ شَيْبة: أَنَّ عائشة كانت تقول: لمّا نزلت هذه الآية: ﴿وَلْيَضْرِبْنَ بِخُمُرِهِنَّ عَلَى جُيُوبِهِنَّ﴾ [النور: 31]، أخذْنَ النِّسَاءُ أُذُرَهُنَّ فَشَقَقْنَها من قِبَل الحَوَاشِي، فَاحْتَمَرْن بها (3).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: 'And let them draw their head-coverings over their bosoms' [Surah al-Nur: 31]; she said: When this verse was revealed, the women took their waist-wrappers (lower garments), tore them from the edges, and made head-coverings of them.

أخبرنا بكر بن محمد الصَّيرَفي بمَرُو، حدثنا عبد الصمد بن الفضل حدثنا قَبيصة بن عُقبة، حدثنا سفيان، عن حَبيب بن أبي ثابت عن وهب مولى أبي أحمد، عن أم سلمة: أنَّ النبيَّ ﷺ الا الله دخل عليها وهي تختمِرُ، فقال: "لَيَّةً (1) لا لَيَّتَينِ" (2).

It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her while she was putting on her head-covering (khimar), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Wrap (it) once only, not twice."
