حدثنا أبو العباس محمد بن يعقوب، حدثنا أحمد بن عيسى بن زيد (1) اللَّخْمي بتِنّيس، حدثنا عمرو بن أبي سَلَمة، عن زُهير بن محمد، أخبرني سُهيل بن أبي صالح، عن أبيه، عن أبي هريرة أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ لعنَ المرأةَ تَلْبَسُ لِبْسةَ الرَّجل، والرجلَ يَلْبَسُ لِبْسةَ المرأة (2)
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who wears the clothing of men, and (cursed) the man who wears the clothing of women.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it.

(1) تحرَّف في النسخ الخطية إلى: يزيد.
Note / Clarification: (1) In the manuscripts this name is distorted into "Yazid".
(2) حديث صحيح، وهذا إسناد ضعيف لضعف أحمد بن عيسى اللخمي، وقد توبع، وعمرو ابن أبي سلمة. وإن كان في روايته عن زهير بن محمد كلام قد توبع.
Grading: (2) The hadith is sahih, but this chain is weak because of the weakness of Ahmad bin Isa al-Lakhmi (though he has been corroborated). Likewise, although the narration of Amr bin Abi Salamah from Zuhayr bin Muhammad has been criticised, he too has been corroborated.
وأخرجه أحمد 14 / (8309)، وأبو داود (4098)، والنسائي (9209)، وابن حبان (5751) و (5752) من طريق سليمان بن بلال، عن سهيل بن أبي صالح، بهذا الإسناد.
Reference / Source: It was recorded by Imam Ahmad (14/ 8309), Abu Dawud (4098), al-Nasa'i (9209) and Ibn Hibban (5751, 5752) through the route of Sulayman bin Bilal, from Suhayl bin Abi Salih, with this chain.
وأخرجه ابن ماجه (1903) من طريق عبد العزيز بن أبي حازم، عن سهيل، به. بلفظ: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ لعن المرأة تتشبَّهُ بالرجال والرجل يتشبَّهُ بالنساء. وفي سنده ضعف.
Reference / Source: Ibn Majah (1903) recorded it through the route of Abd al-Aziz bin Abi Hazim, from Suhayl, with the wording: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the woman who imitates men and the man who imitates women." Its chain has some weakness.
