It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who gives a bribe and the one who takes a bribe.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. A supporting report (shahid) for it is the well-known hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and the narration of Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him). As for the hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):

Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he said: "Cursed are the one who gives a bribe, the one who takes a bribe, and the ra'ish, that is, the one who runs about between the two (to arrange the deal)." I have mentioned Umar bin Abi Salamah and Layth bin Abi Sulaym as supporting reports (shawahid), not as primary narrations.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever is made ruler or judge over ten people, whether they like his judgement or dislike it, will be brought on the Day of Resurrection with his hand shackled to his neck. Then, if he judged according to what Allah revealed, did not take bribes in his judgement and did not act unjustly, Allah Almighty will release him on the Day of Resurrection, the day on which there will be no shackle except His shackle. But if he judged by other than what Allah revealed, took bribes in his judgement and showed partiality, his left hand will be bound to his right, then he will be thrown into Hell, and he will not reach its bottom for five hundred years."
Sa'dan bin al-Walid al-Bajali of Kufah is a narrator with few hadith, and the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not narrate from him.

It is narrated from Sahl bin Atiyyah that he said: I was with Bilal bin Abi Burdah at al-Taff when a man (al-Da'l) came and complained to him that the people of al-Taff do not pay zakah. Bilal sent a man to investigate what they were saying, and that man found that the lineage of this complainant was impugned. He came back and informed Bilal, whereupon Bilal said "Allahu Akbar" and said: My father narrated to me from Sayyiduna Abu Musa al-Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever runs about (to harm) people or carries tales is not of legitimate birth, or there is some trace of that in him." This hadith, narrated from Bilal bin Abi Burdah, has several chains, of which this is the best.
