Mustadrak al-Hakim — Hadith 7243

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed the one who gives a bribe and the one who takes a bribe.
This hadith has a sahih (authentic) chain of narration, but the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim) did not record it. A supporting report (shahid) for it is the well-known hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) and the narration of Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him). As for the hadith of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him):

Grading: This narration is "sahih li-ghayrihi", and this chain is jayyid (good) because of al-Harith bin Abd al-Rahman (al-Qurashi al-Amiri, the maternal uncle of Ibn Abi Dhi'b).
Note / Clarification: The name of Ibn Abi Dhi'b is Muhammad bin Abd al-Rahman bin al-Mughirah. Al-Qa'nabi is Abdullah bin Maslamah, and Ahmad bin Yunus is Ibn Abdullah bin Yunus, who is often attributed to his grandfather.
Reference / Source: Abu Dawud (3580) narrated it by way of Ahmad bin Yunus, with this same chain.
