It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling grain before it hardens, grapes before they turn black, and dates before they turn red or yellow.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it; however, both of them agreed upon the narration of Nafi' from Ibn Umar which mentions the prohibition of selling dates until they ripen (change colour).

It is narrated from Abu al-Zubayr al-Makki that he said: I heard Sayyiduna Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) while Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was giving a verdict that one dinar for two dinars (is permissible). Abu Usayd al-Sa'idi spoke harshly to him. Ibn Abbas said: "O Abu Usayd, I did not think that anyone who knows my kinship with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would say such a thing to me." Abu Usayd said: "I bear witness that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: 'A dinar for a dinar, a dirham for a dirham, a sa' of wheat for a sa' of wheat, a sa' of barley for a sa' of barley, and a sa' of salt for a sa' of salt (are to be sold equally); there is to be no excess between them in any of these.'" On hearing this, Ibn Abbas said: "This was only something I used to say from my own opinion; I had not heard anything about it."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it with this wording. Atiq bin Ya'qub is a Qurashi shaykh from the people of Madinah.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: "O Messenger of Allah, so-and-so has a date palm (in my garden), and because of it I cannot set my wall straight. Order him to give it to me so that I can complete my wall." the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to that man: "Give it to him, and in return you will have a tree in Paradise." But he refused. Then Abu al-Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to him and said: "Sell me this tree of yours in exchange for my whole garden." He made the deal. Abu al-Dahdah came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, I have bought that tree in exchange for my garden; give it to him (the one who asked)." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said several times: "How many heavy, fruit-laden clusters of dates there are for Abu al-Dahdah in Paradise!" Then he went to his wife and said: "O Umm al-Dahdah, come out of this garden, for I have sold it for a tree in Paradise." She said: "You have made a most profitable deal" (or words to that effect).
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Muslim.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man came to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "So-and-so has a date cluster (a fruit-bearing branch) in my garden which troubles me, and its place causes me hardship." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent for him (the owner) and said: "Sell me this cluster of yours that is in so-and-so's garden." He said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Give it to me as a gift (hibah)." He said: "No." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Then sell it to me in exchange for a cluster in Paradise." He (still) refused. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I have not seen anyone more miserly than you, except the one who is miserly with the greeting of salam (that is, does not give it)."
