It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed Tawaf al-Ifadah in the last part of the day (of Sacrifice), after praying Zuhr. Then he returned and stayed in Mina during the nights of the days of Tashriq. He (peace and blessings be upon him) would throw pebbles after the sun had passed its zenith; he threw seven pebbles at each Jamrah, saying the takbir with every pebble. He would stand at the first and the second Jamrah, standing for a long time and supplicating humbly. Then he would throw pebbles at the third Jamrah and would not stand there.
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of Imam Muslim, but the two Shaykhs did not record it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) threw pebbles at the Jamrah that is near the mosque of Mina, he would throw seven pebbles at it, saying the takbir with each pebble. Then he would move ahead of it, stand facing the qiblah, raise his hands and supplicate, and he would stand for a long time. Then he would come to the second Jamrah and throw seven pebbles at it, saying the takbir with each pebble. Then he would descend to the left side of the valley, and stand facing the qiblah with his hands raised. Then he would come to Jamrat al-Aqabah and throw seven pebbles at it, saying the takbir with each pebble. Then he would turn back and would not stand there. Al-Zuhri said: I heard Salim bin Abdullah narrate the same from his father from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and Ibn Umar also used to do the same.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Asim bin Adi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) granted the herdsmen a concession to throw pebbles one day and leave it the next day.
Abu al-Baddah is the son of Asim bin Adi; he is well known among the Tabi'in, and (his father) Asim bin Adi is well known among the Companions, and he is the one involved in the incident of li'an. So whoever said "Abu al-Baddah bin Adi" attributed him to his grandfather.
