It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to look after the Ansar, visit them when they were ill and ask about their circumstances. He (peace and blessings be upon him) learned of a woman of the Ansar whose only son had died and who was grieving intensely over him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her and exhorted her to be mindful of Allah and to be patient. The woman said: O Messenger of Allah! I am a woman who is raqub (one whose children do not survive); I no longer hope for more children, and I had no son besides him. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The real raqub is the one whose child remains (alive after her)." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any Muslim man or woman who has three children die, Allah Almighty will surely admit him into Paradise because of them." Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, and if two die? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "And (for) two as well."
The chain of this hadith is sahih (authentic), but the two Shaykhs did not record it with the mention of the word raqub.

Sayyiduna Mu'awiyah bin Qurrah narrates from his father (Sayyiduna Qurrah (may Allah be pleased with him)) that a man used to come to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bringing his son with him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: "Do you love him?" He said: May Allah love you as I love him. Then after some time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) no longer saw the child, so he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "What has happened to so-and-so?" The people said: His son has died. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Would it not please you that whichever gate of Paradise you come to, you find him there waiting for you?" A man said: Is this glad tidings for him specifically, or for all of us? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Rather, it is for all of you."
This hadith is sahih al-isnad (with an authentic chain), as I mentioned earlier that a single Tabi'i being alone in narrating from a Companion (does not contradict its authenticity).
