Yahya bin Abdullah bin Abi Qatadah narrates from his father, who narrates from his grandfather (Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah, may Allah be pleased with him), that when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Madinah, he (peace and blessings be upon him) asked about al-Bara' bin Ma'rur. The people said: He has passed away, and he bequeathed one third of his wealth to you (peace and blessings be upon him), and he also left instructions that when his final moments came he should be turned to face the qiblah. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "He attained the fitrah (natural way), and I have returned his one third to his children." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) went and led his funeral prayer, and made this supplication: 'Allahummaghfir lahu warhamhu, wa adkhilhu jannatak, wa qad fa'alt' (O Allah, forgive him, have mercy on him and admit him into Your Paradise, and indeed You have done so).
This hadith is sahih (authentic); Imam Bukhari used Nu'aym bin Hammad as evidence and Imam Muslim used al-Darawardi as evidence, but neither of them recorded this hadith, and I know of no hadith other than this one about turning a dying person to face the qiblah.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: When the people began to wash the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), suddenly a caller called out from inside the house: "Do not remove the blessed shirt of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs, but they did not record it.
