حدثنا أحمد بن سلمان الفقيه، حدثنا الحسن بن مُكرَم، حدثنا عثمان بن عمر، حدثنا أبو عامر الخَزَّاز [عن عبد الرحمن بن قيس] (2) عن يوسف بن ماهَكَ، عن أبي هريرة، أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ قال: "إذا صلَّى أحدُكم فلا يَضَعْ نَعلَيهِ عن يمينِه وعن يسارِه، إلَّا أن لا يكون عن يسارِه أحدٌ، وليَضَعْهما بين رِجلَيهِ" (3). صحيح على شرط الشيخين، ولم يُخرجاه.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When one of you prays, let him not put his sandals on his right or on his left, unless there is no other worshipper on his left; otherwise let him put them between his feet."
This hadith is sahih (authentic) on the condition of the two Shaykhs (Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not record it.

أخبرنا أبو العباس محمد بن أحمد المحبوبي بمَرْو، حدثنا سعيد بن مسعود، حدثنا يزيد بن هارون، أخبرنا حمَّاد بن سَلَمة، عن أبي نَعَامة، عن أبي نَضْرة، عن أبي سعيد الخُدْري: أنَّ رسول الله ﷺ صَلَّى فَخَلَعَ نَعلَيهِ فَخَلَعَ الناسُ نعالَهم، فلما انصرف قال: "لِمَ خلعتُم نعالَكم؟ " قالوا: يا رسول الله، رأيناك خلعتَ فخَلَعْنا، قال: "إنَّ جبريل أتاني فأخبرني أنَّ بهما خَبَثًا، فإذا جاء أحدُكم المسجدَ، فليَقلِبْ نعلَيهِ فليَنظُرْ: فيهما خبثٌ، فإن وَجَدَ خَبَثًا فليَمسَحْهما بالأرض ثم ليُصلِّ فيهما" (1).
هذا حديث صحيح على شرط مسلم، ولم يُخرجاه.

Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the prayer and took off his sandals during the prayer, and the people also took off their sandals. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) finished, he asked: "Why did you take off your sandals?" They said: "O Messenger of Allah, we saw you take off your sandals, so we took ours off too." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and informed me that there was filth on them. So when one of you comes to the mosque, let him turn his sandals over and look; if there is filth on them, let him wipe them on the ground and then pray in them."

حدثنا محمد بن صالح، حدثنا أبو سعيد محمد بن شاذانَ، حدثنا قُتيبة بن سعيد، حدثنا مروان بن معاوية الفَزَاري، عن هلال بن ميمون الرَّمْلي، عن يعلى بن شدَّاد بن أوس، عن أبيه قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: "خالِفوا اليهودَ، فإنهم لا يُصلُّونَ في خِفافِهم ولا نِعالِهم" (2).

Sayyiduna Shaddad bin Aws (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Be different from the Jews, for they do not pray in their leather socks or their sandals."
