He replied, "Yes! Remember, I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say that a Muslim's lower garment should be up to the middle of the shin. There is no harm if it is between the shin and the ankles, but the part of the lower garment that is below the ankles will be in Hell." This sentence was repeated three times.

I went to him and asked for permission to enter three times, but I was not granted permission, so I returned, because the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said that whoever seeks permission three times and is not granted permission should return. Now Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) is saying that either present a witness for this or I will punish you. I have come to make one of you a witness." Upon this, Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "In this matter, even the youngest boy among us can go with you." I was the youngest among them, so I went with him and testified that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) indeed said that whoever seeks permission three times and is not granted permission should return.

It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) once ascended the pulpit and said: "What I fear most for you is that Allah will bring forth for you the vegetation of the earth and the adornments of the world." A man asked, "O Messenger of Allah! Can good also bring about evil?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) remained silent until we saw that revelation was being sent down upon him. He began to sweat and became anxious. Then he said, "Where is the questioner?" He replied, "I am present here, and my intention was only for good." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said three times, "Good always brings about good." However, this world is lush and sweet, and the wild grass that grows in the spring causes the animal to bloat and die from indigestion, but the animal that grazes on ordinary grass continues to eat, and when its stomach is full, it comes into the sun and passes dung and urine, then returns and eats again. Similarly, whoever acquires wealth with its due right, there is blessing placed in it for him, and whoever acquires it unjustly, there is no blessing placed in it for him, and he is like the one who keeps eating but is never satisfied.
